Gnarly brutal day today on the Watermelon Beat Down. Mother nature decided it wasn’t hard enough so she added mud and water (from last nights monsoon) to make things that much harder on the technical climbs over slippery granite. Still a good day on the bike, weather was awesome with nice cool temps all day.
We had 36 people sign-up and 32 show up. 9 complete the “A” course (47 miles and 8K climbing) Congrats to: – Dylan Harp for top bragging rights – Tim Wilcox for top single speed bragging rights! Very nice guys! Note: Ya got’a do the full course to get top bragging rights mentioned here!! Special thanks to Rich Capener for putting together such a brutal course and providing water drop and Ken Gauthier and Chris Hereford for helping shuttle Rich’s truck to the ski area and back!
